The challenge

AceKingMarketing has had the pleasure of working with SoMuchPoker since 2014. As their partner, we have assisted them with nearly every aspect of their online business.

SoMuchPoker launched in 2014 with the goal of becoming the main source of online information about poker in Asia.

Like many startups, SoMuchPoker needed creative and affordable online marketing strategies.

The strategies

We assisted SoMuchPoker by designing a step-by-step plan:

  • Create the website from scratch using WordPress. With WordPress, even users without technical skills can add content and update the website as easily as using Microsoft Word. We were particularly concerned with developing a design that suited poker players and included great functions, such as a great plugin for viewing videos and live integration with Google Maps. Last but not least, we made the website completely responsive so that users had equal access on computers, tablets, and mobile phones.
  • Launch a forum with MyBB technology to promote interaction between users and create a community.
  • Organize a team of writers to produce the daily news section.
  • Develop extensive SEO in order to continuously increase traffic from search engines like Google.
  • Design and share clever communication on social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc. that related specifically to the gambling industry.
  • Launch a Chinese version of website to target Chinese-speaking countries (China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, etc.) to generate more traffic and engage with a larger audience.

The results

  • In about 12 months, Somuchpoker.com reached its goal of becoming one of the most famous poker websites in Asia. Building from scratch, the company developed strong relationships with major players in the industry.
  • The website is now a top 10 Google result for keywords like “poker Asia”, “poker Vietnam”, “poker Saigon”, “poker community Asia”, etc.
  • Thousands of website visitors every month
  • 2300+ likes on Facebook (in october 2015)
  • Constant revenue grow
